These are never breaking news stories, but rather some of the deepest thinkers and smartest minds from the world of technology and social media, offering their thoughts and views regarding the biggest stories of the week.

Lets start off with the most ‘shared’ stories on Facebook this week.

1. 10 of the Latest Facts, Figures and Statistics about Facebook

2. Zuckerberg Hints at More Media Rich Ad Formats

It looks as though we could be seeing bigger and richer ads from the social network as Zuckerberg says that Facebook will be improving its ad targeting and launching new formats.

Using Custom Audiences is a great way of creating highly targeted campaigns in Facebook. Now Facebook have expandedon this by allowing marketers to target users similar to those in their custom audiences.

Despite only expressing itself in 140 characters, and moving at the pace it does, Twitter is still one of the best platforms to find out what’s going on!

The Lantern Festival is variously known as Shangyuan or Yuanxiao (China), Chap Goh Meh (Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore), Tết Thượng Nguyên (Vietnam) and Koshōgatsu (Japan).
